Donate

Artifact Donation

Help us to piece together the stories and events that have shaped Lyon County and the surrounding area.  Each day, new artifacts and documents are added to the collection and research center through the generosity of individuals and businesses.  These donations help the Society fulfill its mission as the county’s chief interpreter and repository of history.

Due to the volume of materials offered to the Society, it cannot accept materials without first evaluating each item to be donated. This evaluation is necessary to maintain a collection that is conserved properly.  The Society has developed a procedure for accepting new materials for the collections and archives.  When developing this procedure best practices, space limitations and other key factors were taken into consideration.  For more information contact the Curator at 620.340.6310
